I followed Haiti Design Co. for a decade before I met its gorgeous, kind- and full-hearted founder—who happened to have cured my adult acne in five facials before I found out. Then she started sharing space with a dear friend, yoga teacher, and the best masseuse ever. The world is small and beautiful.
Anyway, the gang situation in Haiti is dire right now, and there are three ways to support through Haiti Design Co., which supports artisans in building sustainable businesses and has essentially turned their workshop into safe haven housing for people fleeing their homes:
1. DONATE any amount the Artisan Support Fund
2. JOIN HDC FAM, a community of monthly contributors providing intentional impact opportunities to our artisan community
and/or
3. SHOP their gorgeous leather goods, jewelry, and more

- I recently saw a blogger post a few finds from Dillard’s (MALLS ARE BACK, I saw it with my own eyes when I went to the apple store. People are COWORKING there). Intrigued, I clicked over. OMG! This dress (we know I love a tassel)! These pants! A SWIM CARDIGAN wtf is that and why do I love it?!
- Everyone everywhere is talking about how Birkenstocks cure plantar fasciitis. As someone who is 9 weeks out from tearing hers (super rare, yay), I think we’re past “cure” … but also pondering if I should be wearing them, like these aren’t the worst? It hurts my soul but not my sole?!

- The Real Reason Women Aren’t Getting Ahead in Tech: “She’s Not Strategic” is too true. Also: turns out being “strategic” is as simple as opening a PPT (or “slides” or “deck”) labeled “Strategy” any time someone asks you a question. You say, “Ah, glad you asked I’ve actually prepared a strategy for that…” and open your ppt. It could have 3 words on it, that is apparently irrelevant. I learned this after seven years in corporate America, you’re welcome.
