It feels like there’s a new covid cadence, a routine I’ve settled into that dramatically affects my work-life balance. It’s wake up, work, work out (at home or maybe the yoga studio), work, cook dinner, go to sleep, do it again. While it feels like it may be mine alone, whenever I talk about it, someone commiserates. The back-to-back-to-back-to-back meetings block up all the time until a workout (or just walk) break, then “getting shit done” blocks up all the rest of the work time, and there’s little time for much else. This is exhausting and unsustainable. But I don’t know what else to do about it…

Grump Fitness
Yesterday, I was grumpy all day. Hated everyone. Everything was pissing me off. Went to Shelby’s Arrow rewind yoga class at BFree yoga. It also sucked. My hips hurt. My hamstrings were stiff. I sweat more than usual. I was grumpy after.
BUT THEN. I showered. Turned on music. And couldn’t stop singing and dancing!
This is why I schedule workouts and follow through, even when I don’t feel like it. I love fitness.

- As I wait (im)patiently for the Levels CGM I wrote about a few weeks ago, I found a sort-of substitute: the 28-day CGM challenge, which uses a different glucose monitor. You pay $950 to compete in the challenge, and can earn $700 back by keeping blood sugar under 120 ($250 is for the monitors). Should I do it?!

- I’m looking for a cute blazer dress, was thinking this but ordered this (at $16, can’t go wrong).
- My LLBean mocs from Christmas finally arrived and they were NOT cute. So now I’m on the slipper hunt again, and may have to go back to the reliable standby Ugg Dakotas (they DID last a decade). But where are all the fun colors?! This is literally the only fun I can find and I don’t really want hot pink slippers…
- Although speaking of hot pink, this brand is blowing up my ig and I can’t help but love their neon beanies.
