Uh oh, I’m back over here on my own blog writing about Covid again, peep the Convo if you’re into that sort of thing. If not, back to your regularly-scheduled, what-do-I-do-with-myself programming …
Entertainment
- Definitely listen to Sacks and the City podcast episode 22.
- Cognitive biases.
- 520 new words made it into the dictionary! Cool list.
- Can’t decide which is better: Bridgerton on Netflix or the Dirt’s analysis of Bridgerton on Netflix—make sure to read all 4 days.
Feed Me
- I spontaneously made ratatouille earlier this week, and damn I had forgotten how good and simple that dish is. Here’s a recipe if you like that sort of thing, but truthfully I just sauté some garlic (ok, lots of garlic), chop Italian-y veggies, dump in crushed tomato sauce, pick some basil, and simmer forever or until you can’t stand your hunger any longer. Bonus points for crusty bread to dip in it.
- I then cooked chicken breasts in the crockpot with the leftovers … equally delicious! The ratatouille that keeps on giving.
Shop, Shoppin’ away…
- Nissan’s office van concept is amazing. I want it!
- It’s winter everywhere except Austin which means I want ALLLLL the ski things. Wheeled ski bags. New ski pants that I don’t want but need. Gloves because mine are falling apart—but have lasted a decade! Goggles because mine are scratched. A new helmet because I’ve had this one since I started skiing. Upgrade szn.
