As I was looking for a book to download for an upcoming flight, friend Camille Styles posted 7 inspiring memoirs to read for the year. I’ve actually read most of them, but quickly downloaded Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle because it seemed like the perfect fit for someone who declared this year the year of vulnerability.
In the fashion of the book, I’ll share a list of why I really liked this book:
- Easy to read: fast-paced, interesting, and truly is a narrative story
- I cried. YAY! Emotions!
- There are actionable takeaways: you can make yourself a more vulnerable, better person by reading this book
- ‘Love Warrior’ is a great title, motto, mantra, and way of life
In short, I recommend you read it if you want to be (more) vulnerable like me (trying).
Spoiler alert: I’m glad I didn’t know anything about who she is before I read the book. I then did some research and was surprised to read more about her life and what it has become since the publishing of the book. I’m not telling you how to read, just telling you I was happy to not know.
