Black Friday Research List

It feels like Black Friday is coming earlier and earlier every year. I am trying to take advantage of the advance sales to stock up on things I use or have been wanting to try, and to avoid shopping online on actual Black Friday as my fam will be swanning about in a luxury 80s mountain chalet plopped in the heart of northern LA. I can’t wait.

Here’s what I’m buying now:

OK, obviously, Senita. They’re doing Black Friday month, with drops every Tuesday and Friday, and 30% off those drops, and 20% off the entire site the entire month. I’ve been buying waaaay too much (I’ll send some of it back?!) but they really have my number. The plaid weekend joggers and mistletoe leggings are my favorite new prints, but both are sold out 🙁

Oshun electrolyte pump bottle ($49). It’s expensive but dehydration kills me and I love this list of ingredients, and the lack of flavor. It’s a big gamble, though.

Norse Organics Wrinkle & Dark Circle Warrior ($72). This one-and-done face routine is awesome for me. I mentioned the acne product in Checklist 96, I am still loving it (though I believe their sale is a marketing ploy, I’ve actually never seen this product on sale at full price).

Scoria X-Tall yoga mat ($90). This is a repeat purchase, the one I bought three years ago is still holding up but will be handed down to my husband who attends approximately 1/50th the yoga classes I do. My code gets you 10% off (LYSSA10) but can’t be used with their Black Friday code, which is more off, so don’t worry about me 😉

Small Wins Candy. I shocked myself by LOVING their suckers. 20 cals, no sugar, soooo satisfying on afternoon Zooms. Their gummies were good too, but there are lots of low-sugar gummies on the market and all of them are too soft for me. If I’m gonna eat a gummy candy, it needs some heft to the bite. (Is that the weirdest thing I’ve written in the history of this blog? Maybe.)

Holding out for actual Black Friday – don’t be fooled I won’t buy ALL this!

Idlewild planner 2025 ($34). My favorite planner for three years running, they’re sold out of all but two styles already! Who buys planners this far ahead?!

Lawless Beauty powder ($34), my current fave face powder (the only face makeup I’m currently using). So far the newer brand has NOT done early sales.

Yarok Shampoo ($48). My go-to clean shampoo for over a decade.

Crown Affair’s Texturizing Air Dry Mousse ($38) took a minute to grow on me, and I was mad I had paid so much for the product, at first. But as I continued to use it, it gave me exactly what it promised: wavy, soft hair that wasn’t fuzzy. Air-dried but polished. I will be buying it again, and am now interested in the Leave-In Conditioner ($48) too!

Little leftovers from the wedding registry: Le Creuset butter dish and spoon rest in Cerise; espresso spoons; and a Fringe Sport stronger foam box for box jumps.

Zojirushi Coffee Maker + Thermal Carafe ($193) is my absolute favorite coffee machine ever, but neglect has killed ours (I never descale it … I’M SORRY ZOJIRUSHI!), so we need a replacement.

Madewell belt ($68). I’m not a big belt person but a few recent outfits have required a belt I just didn’t have. This one isn’t eligible for the early Black Friday sale, so I’m hoping something changes on the big day?
