Welp, alongside accidentally ghosting a really important email opportunity (it’s FINE), I also ghosted myself apparently in not publishing my feel good friday. Suffice it to say, the beach was fun…
Remember when I lived at the beach? Sigh.
Now I drive to it. But in the most hilarious Spirit-airlines inspired back seat, squished between a cooler stuffed with 10 lbs of brisket, an EZUp that might later break, and two fella’s suitcases… there were a LOT of giggles to be had on that ride.
And even more giggles throughout the beach trip, which I’d normally cover at the end of this week, but oh well, let’s just go for it now. It was perfect: six friends just straight chilling for two days. Hilarious boozy breakfasts, 12 hours hanging out at the beach doing nothing (except when I was all “play with me!” annoying our friends and making them play beach sports with me), and funny nights sitting around a hot patio … with a surprise guest we’ll just call Homeland. Putt-putt, Beaver freezers, more brisket consumed per capita than you would ever imagine … just lots of love, laughter, and relaxation. Oh, and sunshine and sand and salt and golden hour photo shoots.
Other good things from last week/end: Cousin weekend! You got the sneak peek, but it only got better with Hula Hut dinner even though I had a salad full of regret, a game night and wine tasting, and a Pace Bend climb and SUP adventure followed by adult kiddie pool.
Grateful for this life, and a lot of excitement coming up in the next couple of weeks!
