This is my second Second meal.
It looks remarkably similar to the first Second meal:
Despite a large menu and amazing buffalo fried pickles, all I have ever ordered at the hip, happening new Second Bar + Kitchen, next to Congress and Congress Bar on … Second & Congress, is the amazing burger ($12) and a side of brussels sprouts ($5). The burger is ground sirloin and chuck topped with gruyere and served with HOMEMADE mustard and mayo, and horseradish pickles. The brussels are served in brown butter with bacon and topped with bernaise. YES PLEASE.
Second Bar + Kitchen is in the Austonian building, helmed by the legendary David Bull with sous chef Ethan Holmes of my beloved Snap Kitchen. The food is both delicious and creative; meat is grassfed. Drinks too are innovative and tasty, like this one ($8-12):
