Austin Music Volume 9 Released!

Last night a release party went down for the 9th iteration of the Austin Music Office’s Austin Music CD.  The only compilation of its scale, the disc is designed to increase awareness of and promote the city’s local music scene nationally. It also includes a bonus mini-guide to Austin with maps, club listings, a calendar of major events, and information on unusual places to hear live music.

“Austin Music Volume 9” is available for $11.99 at the Visitors Center and Waterloo Records.

For the first time, fans of local music can purchase a card to download the CD and the mini-guide online: buy a download card or the physical CD at www.austintexas.org.

The psychadelic party featured The Daze, easily the youngest of a star-studded cast including GRAMMY nominees Willie and The Wheel and music festival mainstays Electric Touch.
