I’m actually sitting in Peach’s RIGHT NOW. And it’s awesome, it’s my cafe of choice for working, eating, and meeting. Everyone loves it (yelp reviews).
Longtime locals are all jazzed because the space at the corner of Hopkins & Galena used to be the Aspen town hangout when it was Zele, and everyone was so sad to see it go, but now it’s back–and from what I can tell–better than ever as Peach’s Corner Cafe.
The food is fantastic. The kale salad magically uses kale as the base and adds in beets, cranberries, jicama, almonds, goat cheese AND tops it with an avocado vinigrette. Yeah, how good does that sound? They source their meat locally whenever possible (make sure to ask), so on an occasion when they had a turkey sandwich from free-ranging turkeys, I sampled it and it was delish.
They grab the best of the baked goods from various bakeries around town, making their selection of breads, muffins, cookies, and cupcakes totally drool-worthy. The gluten-free pumpkin bread would make you grandma cry with wonder–how can it be so delicious and rich and not-too-sweet AND free of that terrible, stomach-pain-inducing gluten? Magic. They also several raw food options, and lots of gluten-free ones.
Then, there’s the coffee drinks, of which I must admit to having sampled only one: a Ginger Masala, a chai-milk-ginger-ice blended concoction that tasted just like summer should taste. But everyone says their coffee is great too.
Free wi-fi, tall bar tables to work at, shorter tables to eat at, and friendly staff make Peach’s Corner Cafe one of the best spots in Aspen.
Hours are 7am-6pm.
