Feel Good Friday is a roundup of the things that made me feel good or that I’m grateful for all week. Join me and leave your Feel Goods in the comments!
- Tonight is Tanukiversary! It’s not too late—come!
- A long Thanksgiving weekend with a fabulous overnight in San Antonio; holiday boat parade and delicious dinner at The Esquire—happy beef empanada ftw.
- Wine samplers curated by husbands who bought too much wine during Black Friday sales… $13.50!
- Allll the Frozens! Happy birthday lil bro!!
- Cozy hangouts in the newly-rearranged den, complete with wine and cocktail bars.
- Catch up with my Cali roommate and annual December visitor over wine & cheese—it appears I’ve been living off of them!
- Made it to HPG 3x this week! Back on track …
- Love the new Oak + Lotus studio at The Yard from the lovely Alia; wish it was closer to my house so I could go more often! (but it IS dangerously close to Austin Winery…)
- Looking forward to a jam-packed weekend and celebrating a birthday girl with a #sponsored Coravin party!
- Data! Is! Awesome! Loving #SpotifyWrapped even if it’s super cheesy. Also, not mad about Love and Theft being my artist of the decade, I do love them, and will forever cherish the memory of driving from OC only a few weeks in to living there to San Bernadino’s The Branding Iron completely alone to see them at a hybrid country-rap dance bar #awkward but very happy! (I also got to see them ON THE BEACH in Huntington years later, and that was awesome too).
I love the silly tradition of Pantone’s Color of the Year, and am as surprised as anyone that the color authority went with Classic Blue for 2020. I have to admit that I love the color, and color harmonies. They say: “Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.“
