If you know me at all, you know how much I love craigslist. I love the jobs, I love the apartment/real estate search, I love the groups, I love the activities, and most of all, I love the missed connections! So imagine my surprise, delight, and wonder when I read that there’s a play about craigslist!
Want to buy a couch? Find a date? Complain about your roommate? Your boss? Your sketchy neighbor that sleeps in his doghouse? Kidnapped by Craigslist is a unique new comedy that explores the carnivalesque, cult-like phenomenon that is Craigslist. Combining actual postings from the Austin website with scripted material, the show tells the true stories locked inside an online community that has shaped and inspired today’s internet generation.

The play is a local adaptation of a national play: http://www.kidnappedbycraigslist.com. Seriously, I don’t even like plays.
