My new strict press PR. Set it quite unexpectedly yesterday.
Was doing the Lyssa combo, my fallback combo of exercises I need to work on: 5 reps strict press to 5 reps OH squat, 3-5 sets
Last time I was in the gym, I bumped it up to 80# for 3 sets, so I did this time 3 sets at 85# then dropped the reps to 3 and tried bumping up by 5#. Hit 3 reps strict press and OH squat at 90# (previous press PR), so threw on 2.5s and pressed 95# one time!!
I did not go into the gym yesterday thinking “maybe I’ll PR today.” But I did. Maybe that’s why?? Expect the unexpected??
Followed it with a cardio BURNER done in 7:39:

double unders (got 26 in row, 1 shy of max!)
16kg KB swings
20″ lateral jumps (over a bench)
