I’m back to 85%, which feels pretty freakin’ good after almost two weeks of not feeling healthy—sheesh! Montezuma may not be totally gone, but he’s dormant at the moment (how long does it take for a parasite named after an Aztec emperor to pass through the system?) Looking forward to a weekend of relaxing with no agenda—except the GoT finale, duh.
CHICAGO
Despite being sick as a dog, I made werk happen. I also feel very pleased with my initial toe dip into werk touristing in Chicago: I ate Lou Malanati’s (the best) and Giordano’s pizza, I walked Navy Pier, saw Lake Michigan, did the bean thing, walked a bit of Michigan Ave, and stopped by Molly’s from Chicago Fire/PD/Med which is actually Lottie’s which is one of the greatest neighborhood bars I’ve had the privilege of witnessing, and I was there at noon.
Being in a city like Chicago (or DC, or NYC) always makes me wish I lived there. Leafy sidewalks with townhouses with front stoops. Living in one of said townhouses. Walking to everything. Eating all the food. Having a neighborhood pub! So many lives I didn’t (and still could) live…
HOME
Speaking of living, I love my house. I love where I live, and living next door to my brother. I’m so grateful for this place being my home (for now!).
Gratuitous bridesmaids shot because hello great picture!
