As if I haven’t already done enough (cough, buying a house, cough) in the days after my 34th birthday, I am brainstorming a list of things I want to do over the next year…
- Furnish my house – in a beautiful, cohesive way
- Build a bench for my dining room table with my dad
- Redo my backyard (with, you guess it, dad)
- Save $$$ for a plunge pool!
- Budget.
- Re-establish my network in Austin.
- Get better at rock climbing – learn more techniques, use less muscle
- Take more day trips to San Antonio to spend time with my childhood bestie
- Get to DC to see fbgf’s new house!
- Marry Mara off in May in Mexico!
- Host Mara’s bachelorette in Austin
- Identify passion project
- Build startup
- Diversify investments; invest in stocks – pay attention
- Mow my own lawn
- Frame & hang Rice diploma
- Treat my photos as art – get them printed/blown up and hung!
- Take better photos
- Edit wardrobe and get rid of absolutely everything that’s unnecessary
- Pack light for all trips
- Clear up face
- Botox (HEY! everyone is doing it)
- Drink more European wines
- Win a volleyball tournament (find a partner…)
- Buy expensive bath towels because I’m an adult and have been using the same one I was gifted for my high school graduation
- Meet baby Henry in Chicago
- Be straightforward and voice what I want
- Get good at wakesurfing!
- Take at least two ski trips
- Train for something (physical)
- Learn a new signature dish (I got accused of always making ground beef + veggies the other night … truth)
- Procure all ingredients for Bensonhurst cocktail
- Find places/causes/boards to volunteer
- Snuggle LOTS in that big bed you so nicely outfitted (ahem amsterdam duvet ahem)
- Build a friggin’ gate between my brother’s backyard next door and mine
