The most important. More than water, food, shelter, we humans need love.
AND I HAVE IT.
And I want to keep it.
And grow it.
I want to love bigger and harder and more and more openly!
Last year was incredibly BRIGHT.
2022 was challenging but somehow not, as it opened my heart to SO many things – some of the very same things I pondered at the start of 2022 … who am I, really? What do I value, really? Who do I want to spend my time with, really? …
I answered those questions with brightness and joy.
I also endured what should have been unspeakable sadness in the loss of Nali, my best pup for 16 years. It wasn’t, though, because it too was bright—a true celebration of the full, happy, incredible life she led, and a peaceful relief for both of us when her time truly came. What a wonderful blessing.
I didn’t think I’d love another dog again so soon, but then along came Bob, and so 2023 will be for loving him. Which is, in some way, honoring Nali. She prepped me to handle an even harder dog, to rescue a pup that needed us even more than Nali did. A partner pup, whereas she was just mine.
I’m looking forward to continuing to LOVE my choices, to love who and what I want to, and only invest time, energy, and love in things I LOVE.
Here’s to a 2023 of beautiful, spacious, nourishing L O V E .
